The lesson went fairly well. There are a few things that I would of changed. First, I'd like to add to the list of test-taking strategies; specifically, I didn't think of "draw a picture" and, less importantly, "transform double negatives and negated quantifiers into affirmative statements" and few others (some suggested by the class). Second, I should have added written instructions to the worksheets in addition to announcing them orally. Lastly, we needed more time (this is a lesson that we've learned each practice session, but still haven't been able to fully grasp - though we've gotten better). Perhaps instead of having each group discuss three questions, each could have just one question (or maybe two very similar questions). The questions could be selected more carefully to highlight specific test-taking strategies.
